MOOSE JAW, SK – The City of Moose Jaw advises that crack sealing is anticipated to continue on Thatcher Drive between Blue Sage Drive and VLA Gate, as well as between Highway 1 and 9^th Avenue NE, from September 4 through September 18, 2026 (weather permitting).

This work involves crews repairing cracks in the roadway through applications of sealant, with the purpose of maintaining the structural integrity of pavement and extending the service life of the road surface.

While full road closures are not anticipated, lane closures will be in place, and flaggers will be on site to direct two-way traffic through a single open lane at alternating intervals. Motorists are encouraged to choose an alternate route to avoid delays.

The City reminds motorists to remain outside of the barricades and follow all temporary signage and directions from flaggers for the safety of everyone. No more #NotoriouslyClose calls.

This work supports the City’s 2026-2029 Strategic Plan, specifically the strategic priority of financial responsibility and transparent governance, as this provides a cost-saving opportunity by maximizing the lifespan of existing infrastructure.
