City of Moose Jaw Masking & Proof of Vaccination Guidelines Recreation Facilities & Mosaic Place

PROOF OF VACCINATION OR NEGATIVE TEST STATUS

Effective October 15, 2021, Public Health Order requirement for proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative test for individuals over the age of 12 will be implemented at designated City of Moose Jaw facilities.

The proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative test requirements will apply to:

  • Access to the Yara Centre fitness centre and walking track.
  • Ticketed sporting events at all facilities.
  • Ticketed live music and concert events at all indoor facilities.
  • Conference centre at Mosaic Place with public access.
  • The removal of masks for individuals 18 years of age and older while participating in athletic or sports activities, for the duration of the sport or activity only as per sport governing body guidelines.
  • The removal of masks for on-ice/on-court/on-field game officials while officiating in sports activities, for the duration of the activity only.

In accordance with the order, options for Proof of Vaccine Status include:

  • Wallet cards received at time of immunization;
  • A printed copy of your MySaskHealthRecord (MSHR) vaccine certificate (with or without a QR code);
  • A screenshot of your MSHR vaccine certificate (with or without a QR code) saved to your device;
  • A screenshot of your MSHR vaccine certificate (with or without a QR code) saved to your device;
  • An earlier version of your MSHR COVID-19 vaccine certificate;
  • A COVID-19 vaccine printout from Saskatchewan Health Authority Public Health; or,
  • A QR code/MySaskHealthRecord vaccine certificate uploaded to SK Vax Wallet

Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or negative test is not required for access or spectators for the Bert Hunt Arena, Wally Boschuk Arena, Kinsmen Arena, Kinsmen Sportsplex Pool and Yara Centre Turf.

MANDATORY MASKS

  • As per the Public Health Order, effective September 17th, 2021, non-medical face masks are required when accessing City of Moose Jaw indoor facilities.
  • Participants under the age of 18 years directly involved in team sports, fitness, and athletics shall be exempt from wearing a non-medical face mask while participating in their sport or activity.
  • Participants over the age of 18 yrs old who wish to remove their mask during sports or activity must show proof of being fully vaccinated or proof of a negative COVID-19 test within the past 72-hours.
  • Masks are not required during swimming.
Customers under 10 years old
  • All customers under the age of 10 yrs must be accompanied in the water, on the ice, on the turf or in the facilities by a parent or a responsible caregiver that is 16 yrs or over.
Spectator areas
  • Spectator areas and concessions are open as per the masking requirements.
