MOOSE JAW, SK – The City of Moose Jaw has applied 3.15 km of reclaimed asphalt in 2026, providing cost-effective infrastructure improvements to several back alleys and roadways.

Reclaimed asphalt (also known as asphalt shavings) is repurposed from local street excavations. Once ground, this recycled product can be used on gravel areas to create a hard, semi-waterproof driving surface, leading to significant reductions in dust and maintenance requirements.

Locations where this material was applied in 2026 include:

Back Lanes

• Elks Field to Simcoe Street
• Coteau Street W to 12^th Avenue SW

Roadways

• Laurier Street W from 4^th Avenue NW to 1^st Avenue NW
• Oxford Street E from 9^th Avenue NE to 11^th Avenue NE
