The City of Moose Jaw Operations Department – Engineering Services partnered with KGS Group Inc to develop the 2024 Transportation Master Plan. The goal of the Transportation Master Plan (TMP) was to establish a comprehensive plan for future transportation investment in Moose Jaw. The 2024 TMP addresses travel by all modes including pedestrians, cyclists, transit, passenger car and commercial trucks, and focuses on transportation safety, operations, and system capacity.

This 10-year plan is diverse in its transportation recommendations, touching on network planning, current and future roadway functions, corridor and intersection operations, railway crossings, sidewalk network, road network, cycling network, and the transit network. The document provides awareness and direction for City staff to consider regarding current and future transportation concerns and expectations over the next 10 years. The project took over a year to complete and required significant data collection through stakeholder and public engagement, numerous site inspections, and internal stakeholder meetings. Council officially adopted the 2024 Transportation Master Plan on July 8^th, 2024.
