Transfers within 90 minutes of original boarding time will now be included with your cash fare. Please advise your bus driver at time of boarding if you require a transfer and they will issue you a transfer ticket.

*Seniors who previously purchased an annual pass in 2020 will receive a $50 discount on their 2021 annual pass.

**Discounted passes are available to those on social assistance under the Social Assistance Program, Transitional Employment Allowance, Provincial Training Allowance, Saskatchewan Assured Income Disability, Saskatchewan Employment Supplement or Saskatchewan Income Support. Proof of participation in one of the above programs must be presented at the time of pass purchase.

***A family pass discount of $10.00 per pass is available for each pass purchased for a family group. Identification/health cards are required for all household members at time of purchase.

Fare Options

Passengers may board using cash, tickets or monthly passes.

Transit operators do not carry change, nor do they sell tickets or passes. To avoid delays have exact fare ready upon boarding if paying cash.

Bus passes and tickets are available from:

Main Floor at City Hall– 228 Main Street North (11:00 am to 3:00 pm)

Kinsmen Sportsplex– 855 MacDonald Street (during regular hours of operation)

Bus Passes & Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable.

Monthly Passes

Use a monthly pass for convenience and economy. The pass provides unlimited rides for a full calendar month. Passes must be shown upon boarding, and they may only be used by the person whose signature appears on the back of the pass. Transit personnel have the right to confiscate monthly passes they feel are being used fraudulently.

Monthly passes are also available for Paratransit riders. All Paratransit riders must be registered (see Paratransit section for details).

Annual Senior Citizen Passes

An annual transit pass is available to Moose Jaw residents over the age of 60 years. The annual pass may be purchased in December of the preceding year.

Discounted Passes

For those on social assistance, the City of Moose Jaw has partnered with the Ministry of Social Services to make monthly passes available at a discounted rate. Current proof of participation in an eligible program is required -  a cheque stub, a letter from the program or a bank statement that clearly states the customer’s name, the program name and the date for the month of pass purchase will be accepted. The following programs are eligible:

SAP – Social Assistance Program

SIS - Saskatchewan Income Support

TEA – Transitional Employment Allowance

PTA – Provincial Training Allowance

SAID – Saskatchewan Assured Income Disability

SES – Saskatchewan Employment Supplement

There are no visual distinction on the passes, however, proof of participation in one of the above programs must be presented at the time of purchase.  For more details, contact the Transit office at 306.694.4488.
