Week 17 Infrastructure Renewal Update – MacDonald Street Intersection Temporarily Open

The City of Moose Jaw advises that the 2026 Infrastructure Renewal Program (including water main replacement) is progressing and has entered its seventeenth week.
Work continues on Coteau Street from Tapley Street through 1st Avenue SE. Intersections are closed at 2nd Avenue SW, Scott Street, 1st Avenue SW, Skipton Road, and 1st Avenue SE. While the Main Street S intersection remains open, motorists are advised that there is two-way traffic flow on this street between Highway 2 and Maple Street E.
Transit users are advised that due to infrastructure renewal work on Coteau Street W, some Transit Stops for Route #4 – Westmount have been temporarily relocated to Iroquois Street W and are advised to check posted signage at their usual stops to be directed to the nearest available stop.
1st Avenue SE remains closed from Coteau Street E to Lillooet Street E, with all intersections closed in this work area.
In addition, with the closure of 1st Avenue SE, Transit Stops for Route #4 – Westmount at Lillooet Street E/1st Avenue SE, and 1st Avenue SE/Home Street E, are closed. Passengers are encouraged to check the posted signage at their usual stops for details on these changes and to be directed to the nearest available stop.
5th Avenue NW remains closed from Saskatchewan Street W to Oxford Street W. The intersections at Saskatchewan Street W and Oxford Street W are open, with the intersection at Hall Street W closed.
Henleaze Avenue remains closed from MacDonald Street to Laurier Street. The intersection at Henleaze Avenue & MacDonald Street has temporarily reopened and will close for paving at a later date.
Transit users are advised that the Transit Stop for Route #2 – Sunningdale at MacDonald Street/3rd Avenue NW remains closed and are encouraged to check the posted signage for details on this change and to be directed to the nearest available stop.
Drivers are reminded to obey all temporary traffic signage and exercise caution in construction zones to keep everyone safe. No more #NotoriouslyClose calls.
