Week 15 Infrastructure Renewal Update – 1st Avenue SE to Close August 3

MOOSE JAW, SK – The City of Moose Jaw advises that the 2026 Infrastructure Renewal Program (including water main replacement) is progressing and has entered its fifteenth week.

Pascoe Drive E remains closed from Rutherford Street to 13th Avenue NW. Infrastructure renewal work in this area is anticipated to be complete by August 6, 2026 (weather permitting). 

Coteau Street has reopened between 4th Avenue SW and Tapley Street, with work continuing from Tapley Street through 1st Avenue SE. Intersections are closed at 2nd Avenue SW, Scott Street, 1st Avenue SW, and Skipton Road, with the Main Street S and 1st Avenue SE intersections open.

1st Avenue SE is scheduled to close from Coteau Street E to Lillooet Street E beginning August 3, 2026. All intersections will be closed in this work area.

Transit users are advised that due to both infrastructure renewal work on Coteau Street W and paved roadways work on Duffield Street W, some Transit Stops for Route #4 – Westmount have been temporarily relocated to Iroquois Street W.

In addition, with the closure of 1st Avenue SE on August 3, Transit Stops for Route #4 – Westmount at Lillooet Street E/1st Avenue SE, 1st Avenue SE/Home Street E, will be closed.

Passengers are encouraged to check the posted signage at their usual stops for details on these changes and to be directed to the nearest available stop.

5th Avenue NW remains closed from Saskatchewan Street W to Oxford Street W. The intersections at Saskatchewan Street W and Oxford Street W are open, with the intersection at Hall Street W closed.

Henleaze Avenue remains closed from MacDonald Street to Laurier Street. Intersections remain open, with localized closures as required.

Drivers are reminded to obey all temporary traffic signage and exercise caution in construction zones to keep everyone safe. No more #NotoriouslyClose calls.
