Week 14 Infrastructure Renewal Update – 13th Ave NW Reopens to Traffic
July 24, 2026
The City of Moose Jaw advises that the 2026 Infrastructure Renewal Program (including water main replacement) is progressing and has entered its fourteenth week.
Pascoe Drive E remains closed from Rutherford Street to 13th Avenue NW. The 13th Avenue NW intersection has reopened, but other intersections in the work area remain closed, with infrastructure renewal work anticipated to be complete by August 7, 2026 (weather permitting).
Residents may also notice repairs to several leaking water valves in the area. To minimize impacts on resident access, these repairs were delayed until 13th Avenue NW reopened and will be addressed, with any service or transit impacts communicated to residents and on the City’s website and social media accounts ahead of work occurring.
Coteau Street continues to be closed to traffic between 4th Avenue SW and 1st Avenue SE. Intersections at 4th Avenue SW and Main Street S are open. The 3rd Avenue SW intersection is scheduled to reopen on July 29, 2026. The intersection at 1st Avenue SE will close August 3. All other intersections remain closed at this time.
1st Avenue SE is scheduled to close from Coteau Street E to Lillooet Street E beginning August 3. All intersections will be closed in this work area.
Transit users are advised that due to both infrastructure renewal work on Coteau Street W and paved roadways work on Duffield Street W, Transit Stops for Route #4 – Westmount have been temporarily relocated to Iroquois Street W. Passengers are encouraged to check the posted signage at their usual stops for details on these changes and to be directed to the nearest available stop.
5th Avenue NW remains closed from Saskatchewan Street W to Oxford Street W. The intersections at Saskatchewan Street W and Oxford Street W are open, with the intersection at Hall Street W closed.
Henleaze Avenue remains closed from MacDonald Street to Laurier Street. Intersections remain open, with localized closures as required.
Drivers are reminded to obey all temporary traffic signage and exercise caution in construction zones to keep everyone safe. No more #NotoriouslyClose calls.
