Water Main Replacement Update; Main St./Saskatchewan St. Intersection Closed Beginning May 16

MOOSE JAW – The City of Moose Jaw advises that construction under the 2022 Water Main Replacement Program continues at the following locations:

Saskatchewan St E – Main St to 2nd Ave NE 

Main St N is currently open at this time. NIS is planning to complete their tie-in work on Main St N beginning Monday, May 16th, 2022 in conjunction with a Public Works closure for a sewer repair. The closure of the intersection of Main St./Saskatchewan St. is estimated to be in effect May 16 until May 27th, 2022 weather permitting. 1st Ave NE intersection is currently closed, while the 2nd Ave NE intersection is currently open.

Grandview St W – 6th Ave SW to 9th Ave SW

6th Ave NW intersection still remains open, 7th Ave NW and 8th Ave NW intersections are closed. 9th Ave NW intersection is open.

Other locations selected for water main replacement in 2022 are:

  • Athabasca St E from 2nd Ave NE to 3rd Ave NE
  • 2nd Ave NE Athabasca St. E to Hochelaga St. E
  • 1st Ave NW from Caribou St. W to Laurier St.
  • Main St. S from Grandview St. to Home St.
  • Grandview St. E from Main St. S to 1st Ave SE
