Moose Jaw, SK – Water main replacement continues to progress in downtown Moose Jaw.

Crews are finishing water main installation at the intersection of Main St. and High St., and the intersection will reopen to traffic Saturday, July 11.

Effective July 11, the 0-300 blocks of High St. West will be closed to traffic to allow the final stages of water main replacement and concrete work to occur. It is expected that milling and paving on the 0-300 blocks of High St. will begin the week of July 20, 2020.

Effective Monday, July 15, 2nd Avenue NW will be closed from Manitoba St. to High St. as crews prepare to begin water main replacement in that area, a location that was approved by City Council June 15.

Local businesses in the respective construction corridors remain open and the City reminds residents and visitors that you may park free at all City meters until further notice, as directed by Moose Jaw City Council. This includes the parking lot on First Avenue NW that provides rear access to 0 block High St. businesses.

Sidewalk business access is also available but may be temporarily impacted as construction progresses.

We will continue to issue weekly water main construction updates on our website, www.MooseJaw.ca/watermainreplacement and through our City of Moose Jaw app, available for free in your favourite app store.

The City of Moose Jaw asks all drivers to obey signage and exercise caution in construction zones for the safety of everyone.
