Water Main Replacement Update; 2nd Avenue NW Paving To Begin

Moose Jaw, SK – 2nd Water Main Replacement continues and the City of Moose Jaw is pleased to provide the following updates:

2nd Ave NW between Manitoba St. and Fairford St.: Underground work is complete and crews are finishing concrete work. Paving between Manitoba St. and High St. and between High St. and Fairford St. will be completed the week of September 14, weather permitting. This is an additional location approved by City Council, which included aesthetic enhancements from the Downtown Local Area Plan.

High Street: Water main replacement construction on the 0-300 blocks of blocks of High St. W is officially complete and the road opened to traffic.

0-200 blocks Fairford St. E:  Water main replacement construction is officially complete and the road opened to traffic.

Stadacona St. E: Construction continues and traffic is blocked between 6th Ave. and 9th Ave., including the 7th Ave NE and 8th Ave NE intersections. Detours are in place.

3rd Ave NW between Oxford St. W and Macdonald St. W: Construction has begun between Oxford and Hall St. and will move north towards Macdonald St. The intersection of 3rd Avenue NW and Hall St. is temporarily closed due to construction.

Local businesses in the respective construction corridors remain open and we will continue to issue weekly water main construction updates at www.MooseJaw.ca/watermainreplacement and through the City of Moose Jaw app, available for free in your favourite app store. 

The City of Moose Jaw asks all drivers to obey signage and exercise caution in construction zones for the safety of everyone.
