MOOSE JAW – The City of Moose Jaw advises that construction under the 2022 Water Main Replacement Program continues at the following locations:

1^st Ave NW – Caribou St. W to Laurier St. : Construction, including paving, is complete on the 800 block of 1^st Avenue NW and the Ross St. intersection is open. Construction is ongoing between Ross St. and Saskatchewan St. The Oxford St., and Hall St. intersections are closed, while Saskatchewan St. intersection remains open.

Grandview St W – 6^th Ave SW to 10^th Ave SW: Effective August 6, water main replacement on Grandview St. from 6^th Ave SW – 10^th Ave SW is complete. 

Main St. S – Home St. to Iroquois St: Construction has extended from Home St. to Grandview St. Both Home St. and Iroquois St. intersections closed. and the Lillooet St., Coteau St. and Elsom St. intersections are closed. This closure impacts southbound truck routes to Highway 2. Southbound truck traffic is being detoured to 9^th Ave SW so that Highway 2 can be accessed from Highway 363. Please note that this includes all delivery and truck traffic, detours are currently in place to help guide traffic back towards 9^th Ave SW.  The City reminds area residents that vehicles are not allowed in construction areas.

Grandview St. E from Main St. S to 1^st Ave SE – Beginning Wednesday, August 24, crews working on Main St. South will extend the construction zone to include Grandview St. E from Main St. S to 1^st Ave SE. 1^st Ave SE will remain open, but all southbound traffic wishing to access Highway 2 south will need to use 9^th Avenue SW. Detours will be in place and detour signage will be posted along Manitoba St./Manitoba Expressway to alert heavy truck traffic to the detours.

Effective June 15, water main replacement construction was completed on Saskatchewan St. E from Main St. to 3^rd NE. 475m of pvc water line was installed, and 420m of road was rebuilt and paved.

Other locations selected for water main replacement in 2022 are:

• Athabasca St E from 2nd Ave NE to 3rd Ave NE
• 2^nd Ave NE Athabasca St. E to Hochelaga St. E
