Moose Jaw – Two-way traffic will be in place on the 200 block of High Street West beginning May 25 to accommodate water main replacement construction.

That will mark the beginning of the City of Moose Jaw’s 2020 Water Main Replacement Program, which will see NIS Contractors Ltd. perform water main replacement work across four locations:

– Stadacona St. East from Sixth Avenue to 10th Avenue NE (790 metres)
– Fairford St. East from Main St. to Second Avenue NE (560 metres)
High St. West from Main St. to Third Avenue NW (540 metres)
– Third Avenue NW from Oxford St. to Macdonald St. (670 metres)

The eastbound (south) lanes of the 200 block of High Street West will be blocked to traffic to accommodate construction, but the westbound (north) lanes will be converted to a two-way traffic corridor. All local businesses in the construction corridor remain open and parking will be available on the north side of the street and adjacent avenues. Sidewalk business access is also available but may be temporarily impacted to some properties as construction progresses.

The City reminds residents and visitors that you may park free at all City meters until further notice, as directed by Moose Jaw City Council.

We will continue to issue weekly water main construction updates on our website and through our City of Moose Jaw app, available for free in your favourite app store.

The City of Moose Jaw asks all drivers to obey signage and exercise caution in construction zones for the safety of everyone.

High St. traffic plan effective May 25, 2020.
