MOOSE JAW, SK – The City of Moose Jaw and the Moose Jaw & District Chamber of Commerce congratulate Beverly and Yogi Arnold, our “Notoriously Good Neighbours” for June.

The City of Moose Jaw and the Moose Jaw & District Chamber of Commerce created the program to recognize the Notoriously Friendly, Notoriously Generous and Notoriously Kind-Hearted Moose Javians making a Notoriously Positive difference in our community.

The Arnolds were nominated by Kalie Seidlitz, who commended the duo for taking the time to help those in the neighbourhood, from assisting with pet care to taking out garbage and recycling bins.

She added that the Arnolds also take pride in maintaining their eye-catching yard. “They’re often up early, tending to the landscaping, watering plants, and ensuring that their property contributes to the overall beauty of the neighborhood. Their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed, and it certainly elevates the curb appeal of the entire block.”

With no immediate family to rely on in Moose Jaw, Seidlitz expressed appreciation for the Arnolds’ presence. “[They] have felt like the missing piece and are people we can ultimately depend on in case of an emergency. It is something we try not to take for granted, but are extremely grateful for because not everyone gets to experience what it’s like to have neighbours like them.”

“In every way, they embody the spirit of community and kindness. It’s hard to imagine more deserving recipients of this honor.”

As official “Notoriously Good Neighbours”, the Arnolds were awarded gift certificates to Tunnels of Moose Jaw, a token of appreciation for their contributions to the community.
