Moose Jaw, SK – The City of Moose Jaw advises that a paving project and CN train tracks upgrade on Thatcher Drive West will begin Monday, August 23, 2021.

Crews will pave Thatcher Drive West from VLA Gate to 13^th Avenue NW, including both VLA Gate & 13^th Avenue NW intersections, and perform a CN track upgrade.

The construction area will be closed for the traffic while paving occurs and the project is expected to be completed by 10:00 p.m. Monday, August 30, 2021 weather permitting.

Drivers will need to take alternate routes throughout the duration of the work.

Recommended alternate access are as follows:

• Iron Bridge residents: Use access from Highway #1
• VLA residents: Use 11^th Avenue NW and/or 9^th Avenue NW then Normandy Drive
• 13^th Avenue NW, Simcoe & surrounding area residents: Use Rutherford and/or Grace Street

The City asks all drivers to obey signage and exercise caution in construction zones for the safety of everyone.
