UPDATED – Temporary Speed Restriction On Main St. North Returns January 10
January 6, 2021
MOOSE JAW – The City of Moose Jaw advises a reduced speed limit of 30 km/hr will be in effect in the the northbound lanes of Main St. North between Town & Country Drive and Thatcher Drive beginning January 10, 2021.
The reduced speed limit is needed to allow KMS Construction safe movement of equipment being used for the final tie in work of East Feeder water main pipe to the distribution network starting from High Service Pumphouse Reservoir. The High Service Reservoir distributes potable water to over 20-thousand Moose Jaw residents.
This traffic restriction will be in place starting Sunday, January 10 through Friday, January 22nd. (weather permitting).
Traffic signage and barricading will be in place to accommodate this disruption. Drivers and pedestrians are encouraged to use caution in the area and to obey all posted detours and signs.
Thank you for your patience while the City works to rebuild our infrastructure to ensure reliable services for our residents.

The construction involved boring a hole underneath Main St. to install the pipe.
