MOOSE JAW, SK – The City of Moose Jaw is inviting students who will be heading to high school on City Transit this fall to take part in a ‘School Extra Practice Run’ on August 19, 2026, to gain confidence before their first day of school.

This free ride on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, will see a City Transit bus following the usual School Extra run schedule and route starting on South Hill at 7:33 a.m.

The bus will travel the complete route and pick up students, showing drop off spots at each of the high schools. Students will then be shown the after-school pickup spots, before the operator completes the entire after school route to take students back home.

The session will take approximately 90 minutes from pickup to drop off.

The School Extra run schedule can be found on MooseJaw.ca here.

This practice run supports the City’s 2026-2029 Strategic Plan, specifically the strategic priority of a Resident-Centric Community, by reflecting the City’s commitment to customer service improvements and reducing barriers for students new to using City Transit.
