South Hill Construction Update: Paved Roadways and Infrastructure Renewal
MOOSE JAW, SK – The City of Moose Jaw is providing an update on construction happening on South Hill, advising residents of changes to traffic flow and City Transit.
- The 2026 Paved Roadways Project is underway on Duffield Street W between 5th Avenue SW and Skipton Road, with an expected completion date of July 31, 2026, weather permitting.
For this work, Tapley Street, Scott Street, and Skipton Street are also closed between Coteau Street W and Duffield Street W.
Intersection access while roadwork progresses on this portion of Duffield Street W includes:
- 5th Avenue SW – intersection open to north, south, and west
- 4th Avenue SW – intersection closed
- Tapley Street – intersection closed
- Scott Street – intersection closed
- Skipton Road – intersection closed
- The 2026 Infrastructure Renewal Project continues on Coteau Street W between 4thAvenue SW and 1st Avenue SE.
The intersections of Coteau Street at 4th Avenue SW, Main Street S and 1st Avenue SE are open, while all other intersections in the Infrastructure Renewal work area remain closed. Coteau Street W is open to Local Traffic Only between 4th Avenue SW and 3rd Avenue SW.
Transit users are advised that due to both projects, Transit Stops for Route #4 – Westmount on Coteau Street W and Duffield Street W in the work areas have been temporarily relocated to Iroquois Street W. Passengers are encouraged to check the posted signage at their usual stops for details on these changes and to be directed to the nearest available stop.
Residents are reminded to remain outside of the barricades and follow all temporary signage for the safety of everyone. No more #NotoriouslyClose calls.
