
Snow Clearing Underway; Residential Plowing Delayed

Moose Jaw, SK – City of Moose Jaw crews continue to respond to the February 3 snow event.
Crews began their operations this morning in accordance with the City’s Winter Maintenance Policy, which contains the following targets:
o Priority 1 roads to be cleared within 24 hours of a storm event.
o Priority 2 roads to be cleared within 48 hours of a storm event.
o Priority 3 roads to be cleared within 72 hours of a storm event.
o Priority 4 roads to be cleared within 96 hours of a storm event.
o Priority 5 roads will be maintained based on rutting and drainage.
o Priority 6 parking lots to be maintained based on conditions.
Residential plowing of ruts, which was scheduled to start Thursday, February 4, will be delayed while crews focus on snow clearing as per the Policy.
