Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grant and Projects – Capital Grant Program Applications Open

MOOSE JAW, SK – The City of Moose Jaw is accepting Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grant Program and Community Projects – Capital Grant Program applications for both opportunities.

The Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grant Program assists in the development of sport, culture and recreation programs by providing funds to non-profit community organizations that are operated by volunteers. The City of Moose Jaw administers the grant on behalf of Saskatchewan Lotteries.

The goal of this program is to develop sport, culture and recreation opportunities by enabling communities to host special events and address the needs of local residents, especially those activities which encourage participation of under-represented populations in our community, such as:

o          Children and teenagers, especially at risk-youth;

o          Economically disadvantaged;

o          Seniors;

o          Persons with a disability;

o          Single-parent families; and

o          Women

The deadline for submissions is November 30th, 2023 for programs occurring between April 1st, 2024 – March 31, 2025. Applications can be found online at www.moosejaw.ca/grants or by emailing recreation@moosejaw.ca.

 

The purpose of the Community Projects – Capital Grant Program is to enable non-profit community groups to undertake capital development or renovation projects for City-owned buildings, parks or green spaces which provide recreation, sport, arts, or cultural opportunities to the community.
