Road Closures, Transit Route Adjustments Begin April 25 for Water Main Replacement Construction

MOOSE JAW – The City of Moose Jaw advises that in preparation for 2022 water main replacement construction, road closures will go into effect Monday, April 25 at the following locations:

  • The 0 Block of Saskatchewan St. E will be closed, and the Main St. N and 1st Ave NE intersections will remain open at this time. Further closures will occur at a later date as construction moves east on Saskatchewan St. E. Water main replacement is scheduled this year on Saskatchewan St. between Main St. and 3rd Avenue NE.
  • 600 and 700 blocks of Grandview St. will be closed, and the 6th Ave SW and 8th Ave SW intersections will remain open at this time. Water main replacement is scheduled this year on Grandview St. W from 6th Ave SW to 10th Ave SW.

The following Transit routes will be affected by the Saskatchewan St. closure:

  • Route 3 – Sunningdale: After leaving the mall inbound for Downtown, this bus will utilize the parking lot access near Chestnut Ave to exit, reroute down 1st Ave NE and Hall St. E, and reconnect with the regular route at Main St. N and Hall St. All bus stops will remain in service at this time.
  • Route 1 – Athabasca East: Inbound for the mall, this bus will utilize the parking lot access near Chestnut Ave to enter and reconnect with the regular route at Town and Country Drive. All bus stops will remain in service at this time.
