Portions of Main St. and Fairford St. Sidewalks Closed For City Hall Roof Repairs

MOOSE JAW – The City of Moose Jaw advises that scheduled City Hall roof repairs will begin tomorrow (Wednesday, August 3, 2022). The project will occur in two phases, affecting pedestrian traffic and parking along the 0 block Fairford St. West and 200 block of Main St. North.

Phase One, August 3-7: The Fairford St. sidewalk will be temporarily closed to pedestrian traffic from east of the Police Station entrance to the Main St. intersection. Parking will also be restricted in the construction area.

Phase Two (to begin once Phase One is complete and last approximately five days): The Main St. sidewalk will be closed from the intersection of Fairford St. West to north of the City Hall main entrance and parking will be restricted in the construction area. City Hall customers can access the City Hall doors from the south. The City Hall drop box will be unavailable during Phase Two. The City apologizes for any inconvenience.

The repair project, which was approved in the City’s 2022 Capital Budget, will restore the copper roof sections of City Hall. Full details on this and other 2022 Capital Projects can be found with the City’s Capital Projects map.
