Paved Roads Project to Temporarily Close Coteau St W Starting Monday

MOOSE JAW, SK – The City of Moose Jaw advises that Coteau Street W from 12th Avenue to 16th Avenue SW will be temporarily closed for milling, paving and asphalt repairs with construction beginning Monday, July 8, 2024.

The project will be split into two phases and is anticipated to be complete in two weeks, weather permitting.

Phase 1: 12th Ave SW to 14th Ave SW; intersections at 12th Ave SW and 14th Ave SW will remain open during the closure. Transit’s Route 4 – Westmount will detour via Duffield St W; a temporary bus stop will be available at Duffield St W/13th Ave SW, while bus stops at Coteau St W/12th Ave SW, Coteau St W/Iroquois Dr and Coteau St W/Manitou Cres W will be out of service.

Phase 2: 14th Ave SW to 16th Ave SW; intersections at 14th Ave SW and 16th Ave SW will be closed. Transit’s Route 4 – Westmount will detour via Duffield St W; temporary bus stops will be available at Duffield St W/15th Ave SW and Carrington Dr/Arlington Ave while bus stop at Coteau St W/Manitou Cres, Coteau St W/Sioux Cres, Coteau St W/Cree Cres, and Coteau St W/Arlington Ave will be out of service.

Detour signs and barricades will be in place. The City of Moose Jaw asks all drivers to obey signage and exercise caution in construction zones for the safety of everyone. No more #NotoriouslyCloseCalls.
