
New Moose Square Play Structure Highlights Completion of 2022 Playground Renewal Projects (PHOTOS)

MOOSE JAW – A brand-new playground structure in Moose Square Park is the highlight of the City of Moose Jaw’s 2022 Playground Renewal Program.
The Playground Renewal Program was initiated by the Parks and Recreation Department in 2021 and provides annual capital funding for the replacement and renewal of City owned playground sites.
The City is proud to announce the completion of 2022 Playground Renewal Program projects, including:
- Full replacement of the Moose Square Park playground with features for all ages and abilities. Additional amenities added to the site include a netted merry-go-round, horizontal monkey bar, expression swing for toddlers, small basketball pad, three new benches, one new garbage receptacle, one new picnic table, and new accessible pathways throughout the site. Many of the previous amenities were also left on the site and will be re-painted to give them a fresh look.
- The deteriorated wooden playground edging at Happy Valley Park was replaced.
- A new bench and garbage receptacle was installed at Keith Crescent Park.
- A new picnic table and garbage receptacle was installed at Iron Bridge Park.
