MOOSE JAW – The City of Moose Jaw advises that beginning Wednesday, June 9, 2021, new traffic lights at the intersection of Caribou St. West and 9th Avenue NW will go into operation, including left-turn lanes returning to their original functionality.

In order for the lights to become operational, crews will be on site Tuesday, June 8 and Wednesday, June 9. The intersection will be open to traffic, but some lane restrictions will be in place.

The 400-1000 blocks of Caribou St. West are undergoing water main replacement this year, with crews currently working on the 400-600 blocks.

When that construction reaches the 9th Avenue NW/Caribou St. intersection, further upgrades will occur at that time including installation of traffic light sensors, pedestrian ramps and sidewalks.

The City of Moose Jaw asks all drivers to obey posted detour signage and exercise caution in the construction zone for the safety of everyone.
