Moose Jaw, SK – The Board of Directors of The Moose Jaw Cultural Centre is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Simison as Executive Director.  Sarah started her new position with the Cultural Centre on Monday, June 6th, 2022.

“The Board is very excited to welcome Sarah to our organization.” said Jarrod Jeanson, Cultural Centre Board Chair. “Sarah brings a wealth of experience from her years working for the Festival of Words and her vision for the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre makes us very excited for the future of our organization.”

Simison has worked for The Festival of Words for the past 12 including serving as Executive Director since 2015. She has extensive experience in leadership, strategy, public relations, marketing, grant writing and communications. She has many ideas on how to make the Cultural Centre and the Mae Wilson Theatre even more integral to the cultural community of Moose Jaw and beyond.

“I am very excited to be officially joining the Moose Jaw Cultural Centre team,” said Simison. “I have worked in the building for over a decade so I’ve had a lot of time to dream about other ways the organization can serve the citizens of Moose Jaw and the broader arts and culture community. I look forward to turning these dreams into a reality and supporting the diverse and vibrant arts sector in our city, province, and country.”
