Moose Jaw, SK – The City of Moose Jaw advises property owners that the 2023 Property Tax Payment deadline extension of August 31, 2023, was approved at the regular meeting of Moose Jaw City Council on July 10.

The payment deadline is traditionally June 30 each year, but due to delays in implementing the City’s new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, the deadline has been pushed back.
At the May 23 regular meeting of City Council, the Tax Payments, Penalties and Deadlines Bylaw was amended to make July 31 the payment deadline for 2023 property taxes, but further delays will see Administration prepare and send tax notices to property owners in July, with a payment deadline of August 31. The amended Bylaw was presented for ratification at the July 10 regular meeting of Moose Jaw City Council and the motion was carried.

The 2023 Property Tax payment deadline is August 31, 2023 at 5:00pm and there are multiple payment options:
• In person at City Hall between 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday (excluding statutory holidays).
• In person at your financial institution.
• Use the drop box in front of City Hall that is available 24 hours a day (cheques only).
• Mail the payment to City Hall: 228 Main St. North, Moose Jaw, SK, S6H 3J8 (no late payment charges if postmarked by August 31, 2023).
• Payments through the Tax Installment Payment Plan Service (TIPPS).
