Ministry of Highways Update on Highway 2/Main St. North Paving Project

Moose Jaw, SK – The City of Moose Jaw advises that the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways paving project on Highway 2 (including a section of Main St. North) continues. Here is the latest update provided by the Ministry of Highways (in italics):

Below is a list of construction activities beginning the morning of Tuesday, May 24th:

  • Paving of Highway 2 South starting from the overpass heading south towards Thatcher Dr.
  • Guard rail work on Hwy 1 under the overpass
  • Construction of a turning lane near the JGL intersection on Hwy 1 West 

They will continue with the Highway No. 2/Main Street paving the remainder of the week or until it is completed.  

 

Traffic accommodation restricting traffic to one lane will be in place as well at flaggers at the intersection of Diefenbaker Dr.

Over-height loads heading East on Highway 1 will be diverted as the off ramp will not be accessible during this time.

The City of Moose Jaw asks all drivers to obey posted signage and exercise caution in construction zones for the safety of everyone.
