Let’s Talk Trash: City Releases Waste and Recycling Educational Content
June 25, 2021
MOOSE JAW – The City of Moose Jaw is proud to release “Let’s Talk Trash”, an informative campaign about waste and recycling initiatives.
The City has created a brochure that contains helpful tips on how to be #NotoriouslyEfficient when dealing with household waste and recycling, including:
- Hesitate, Then Separate – It only takes a moment to figure out which items belong in the blue recycling bin and which items go in the green waste bin.
- Make The Best of a Bag Situation: With single-use plastic bags on the way out, we tell you the best shopping bag for your environmental buck.
- How to handle Household Hazardous Waste
The Let’s Talk Trash brochure is being delivered to all residential properties (including apartment buildings) in Moose Jaw, and delivery is expected to be complete by Friday, July 9, 2021.
To accompany the brochure (which can easily be hung on your fridge), the City has created a series of “Let’s Talk Trash” videos that demonstrate how easy it is to handle your waste and recycling efficiently. The videos also dispel some of the most common myths surrounding the City’s collection program.
The City of Moose Jaw thanks the Public Works, Infrastructure and Environment Committee and the Youth Advisory Committee for their valuable input into the creation of the Let’s Talk Trash content.
