Infrastructure Renewal Continues, Grace St. Portion To Close Temporarily

Moose Jaw, SK – The City of Moose Jaw advises that Phase Nine of our Infrastructure Renewal program continues at the following locations:

Grace Street from Hawthorne Crescent to Thatcher Drive – Beginning June 25, the road will close for construction to begin. Grace Street, east of the construction site, will be limited to local traffic only.

Transit service will be impacted, and two stops will be closed during construction:

  • Transit route #3 Athabasca West/Thatcher Drive will go to Grace Street, servicing the stops at Grace Street & 13th NW and Grace Street & Prince Charles Place.
  • The route will continue to Gordon Road and 13th NW onto Princess Crescent proceeding to 13th Ave. NW, where it will return to the usual route.

0 block of River St. E between Main St and 1st Avenue NE – work continues, with the 1st Avenue NE and River St. intersection remaining closed.

Coteau Street SW from 9th Ave SW to 12th Avenue SW – Closed between 9th Ave SW and 12th Ave SW, and the 9th Ave SW and 12th Ave SW intersections remain open. Work is ongoing.

The City of Moose Jaw reminds residents that all area businesses remain open during construction and access will be available via sidewalks and temporary walkways. Also, all work in these locations is dependent on favorable weather conditions.

Drivers are reminded to obey all temporary traffic signage and exercise caution in construction zones to keep everyone safe. No more #NotoriouslyClose calls.
