Infrastructure Renewal Continues, Grace St. Now Closed

Moose Jaw, SK – The City of Moose Jaw advises that Phase Nine work continues and has progressed to three separate locations in the city.

Grace Street from Hawthorne Crescent to Thatcher Drive is now closed, with no further closures anticipated for this area. Grace Street, east of the construction site, is closed to local traffic only.

Zone 2 who are impacted by construction on Hawthorne Crescent, Corman Crescent, Pascoe Drive W, and Princess Crescent backing onto Thatcher Drive will now have collection moved to front street pick up effective immediately.

Transit service will be impacted once the closure begins, and two stops will be closed during construction.

  • Transit route #3 Athabasca West/Thatcher Drive will go to Grace Street, servicing the stops at Grace Street & 13th NW and Grace Street & Prince Charles Place.
  • The route will continue to Gordon Road and 13th NW onto Princess Crescent proceeding to 13th Ave. NW, where it will return to the usual route.

Due to significant moisture, the 0 block of River St. E between Main St and 1st Avenue NE remains under construction, with the 1st Avenue NE and River St. intersection also closed.

Coteau Street SW from 9th Ave SW to 11th Avenue SW is closed between 9th Ave SW and 11th Ave SW, with the 9th Ave SW and 11th Ave SW intersections remaining open currently.

The City of Moose Jaw reminds residents that all area businesses remain open during construction and access will be available via sidewalks and temporary walkways. Also, all work in these locations is dependent on favorable weather conditions.

Drivers are reminded to obey all temporary traffic signage and exercise caution in construction zones to keep everyone safe. No more #NotoriouslyClose calls.
