MOOSE JAW, SK – The City of Moose Jaw is inviting residents to help shape the future of the Hopkins Park playground with the Hopkins Park Playground Concept Survey.

The Hopkins Park Playground, located near Grace Street and Hopkins Crescent, is scheduled for replacement in 2026 as part of the Community Services department’s Playground Renewal Program, and we’re inviting residents to review and provide feedback on three concept options for Hopkins Park:

Option 1 – Replace playground; swings remain as is

Option 2 – Remove playground; construct pathway, gazebo and bench

Option 3 – Replace playground; construct pathway, gazebo and benches

Regardless of which option is selected, the existing playground equipment is scheduled to be removed and replaced in 2026. Once a preferred concept is identified, a follow-up survey will be released to gather input on specific features and amenities.

The Playground Renewal Program focuses on assessing existing playground conditions, ensuring effective playground planning and management practices are in place, and prioritizing accessibility and inclusivity. The program also emphasizes providing a balance of mixed amenities for all ages and abilities and enhancing the overall park experience beyond playground equipment alone. Gathering community feedback supports the 2026-2029 Strategic Plan, specifically the strategic priorities of creating a resident-centric community, and fostering a vibrant, safe, and welcoming city.
