MOOSE JAW – The City of Moose Jaw advises that beginning Monday, August 22, 2022, the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways will begin repairs to the Highway 1 overpass.

To allow for this project, Highway 1 east will be closed at the overpass and the following traffic accommodations will be in place for eastbound and southbound traffic:

Highway 1 Eastbound Traffic

  • Highway 1 eastbound traffic will use the Highway 2 South/Main St. North exit and detoured to the Over Dimensional Route/U-turn to access Main St. North and use the off-ramp to Highway 1 east.

Highway 2 Southbound Traffic

  • Highway 2 southbound will use a zipper merge at the overpass to safely merge with vehicles from the Highway 2 south exit. Southbound traffic wishing to travel east on Highway 1 will follow detour signs towards the Over Dimensional Route/U-turn in order to access the off-ramp to Highway 1 east.

The City of Moose Jaw reminds drivers to obey all posted signage, slow down and exercise caution in construction zones for the safety of everyone.
