High St., Thatcher Drive Intersection Upgrades Continue This Week

MOOSE JAW – The City of Moose Jaw advises that intersection upgrades will continue this week at two major intersections.

First Avenue NW/High St.:

  • New traffic poles, signal heads and pedestrian buttons will be installed. Traffic flows will be maintained during this work, with some lane restrictions and temporary flagging when actual poles are being elevated (5 minute delay). The new lights are anticipated to be in operation by 5:00 p.m. Saturday, November 13 (weather permitting).

Thatcher Crossing (Thatcher Drive East/New Canadian Tire entrance):

  • New poles, signal heads and pedestrian pushbuttons will be installed. Traffic flows will be maintained with some partial lane closures. Flagging operations will occur ( five minute delay) while the new poles are being elevated. Additional electrical infrastructure will be installed in January, 2022.

The City of Moose Jaw asks drivers to obey all posted signage and exercise caution in construction zones for the safety of everyone.
