Ha’Keena Maneso Awarded Dubinsky Family Educational Trust Scholarship

Moose Jaw, SK – Moose Jaw’s Ha’Keena Maneso has been awarded the 2020 Dubinsky Family Educational Trust Scholarship.

At the regular meeting of City Council Monday, September 21, Maneso was presented the annual scholarship by Mayor Tolmie on behalf of Council.

The Dubinsky Family Scholarship was created in 1982 as part of a trust agreement between the City and Mr. Boris Dubinsky and Administrative Consultants Limited. The scholarship is to be awarded to a high school student from Moose Jaw who will pursue post-secondary studies.

Maneso graduated from Vanier Collegiate in 2020 with a 93% average and has been accepted at Queen’s University in the Theatre Arts program. Among Ha-Keena’s accomplishments:

  • Chair of City’s Youth Advisory Committee.
  • Youth Spokesperson for the Elder Hope Project.
  • Leadership committee member of the Kids Helping Kids fundraiser.
