The City of Moose Jaw advises residents that geotechnical drilling activities related to the City’s Slope Monitoring Program will occur during the week of August 17 – 21, 2026.

Drilling will take place along 4th Avenue SW, beginning in the alleyway and continuing south toward the Paashkwow Trail Head (see map attached). This sequencing will ensure that alleyway work is completed prior to garbage collection on Thursday, August 20, minimizing disruption for residents.

Work will be completed by the City’s retained geotechnical consultant and hired drilling company, and will include:

  • Drilling boreholes
  • Collecting soil samples for laboratory testing
  • Installing equipment to monitor groundwater levels over time

This work will help improve understanding of local geology and support future assessment or remediation planning.

Residents may observe drilling equipment, contractor vehicles, and short-duration access adjustments in the alleyway and near the trail access point. The Paashkwow Trail will remain open throughout the work period.

The City of Moose Jaw will provide any construction updates under City News on MooseJaw.ca or the free City of Moose Jaw app.
