MOOSE JAW – Fraser Tolmie has resigned as Mayor of the City of Moose Jaw.

At a special meeting of City Council Tuesday, August 17, 2021, Mayor Tolmie’s resignation was accepted by Council, effective Wednesday, August 18.

City Council then elected Councillor Dawn Luhning as Acting Mayor until such time as a by-election for the Mayor’s chair is held and the new Mayor is sworn in.

A report on the upcoming Mayoral by-election will be presented at the August 23, 2021 regular meeting of Moose Jaw City Council.
