Find A Safe Ride with Moose Jaw Transit and SGI on NYE
MOOSE JAW – The City of Moose Jaw is proud to once again partner with SGI to provide safe transportation so you and your cohorts can Find A Safe Ride to and from your New Year’s celebrations.
This year marks the 35th edition of the program which offers free Moose Jaw Transit service for anyone celebrating the New Year, whether at a local establishment or at a private gathering within City limits.
Moose Jaw Transit regular fixed route service will be in effect from 7:55 p.m. New Year’s Eve (December 31) through 3:15 a.m. New Year’s Day (January 1) and you can view the entire schedule at MooseJaw.ca/Transit.
“New Years Eve celebrations are always a good time for everyone and it’s just a tremendous program that SGI offers,” said Moose Jaw Mayor James Murdock. “It allows people to have a great evening, but we know everyone can get home safe.”
Most restaurants and lounges are located within walking distance of a bus stop, however additional bus stops have been added at popular locations such as Brown’s Social House, The Crushed Can Rec Room & Bar/Cask 82, Chillers Brew Pub and Dooly’s Billiards & Lounge.
Paratransit is also available for free as part of SGI’s Find A Safe Ride campaign.
“SGI thanks the City of Moose Jaw for supporting free bus service on New Year’s Eve,” said JP Cullen, COO of the SGI Auto Fund. “We all have a role to play in reducing impaired driving and taking the bus this holiday season helps ensure everyone gets home safely.”
To book this service you can call Moose Jaw Transit: 306-694-4488 or email: transit@MooseJaw.ca.
The City of Moose Jaw appreciates the support of SGI, our continued Find A Safe Ride sponsor.
