Fairford St. Water Main Replacement Complete; Athabasca St. East Transit Route Returns To Normal November 1

Moose Jaw, SK – The City of Moose Jaw is pleased to announce that water main replacement construction has been completed on Fairford St. East between 3rd and 5th Avenue NE, and the road is paved and reopened to traffic.

The south leg of the 3rd Avenue NE/Fairford St. intersection remains closed, but will be paved and reopened to traffic by Tuesday, November 2, 2021 (weather permitting).

With Fairford St. East reopened, Moose Jaw Transit can return to regular service on the Athabasca East route (Route 1). Effective Monday, November 1st, temporary bus stops on Athabasca Street East at 3rd Ave NE, 4th Ave NE, 6th Ave NE and 7th Ave NE will close and all regular bus stops on 7th Ave NE and Fairford Street East will re-open. The Fairford St. East water main replacement was included as part of servicing work to the City’s Agri-Food Industrial Park.
