Coteau Street East Bridge Demolition Work Begins May 4

MOOSE JAW, SK – The City of Moose Jaw advises that the Coteau Street East Bridge Demolition Project is scheduled to start the week of May 4, 2026.
The City’s procured contractor, McColman & Sons Demolition Ltd. is scheduled to arrive on the work site on Coteau Street East between 2nd Avenue Southeast and Trinity Lane the week of May 4, 2026.
The work will begin with preconstruction activities including temporary fencing installation and the completion of bird sweep requirements.
Following preconstruction activities, the contractor will perform demolition of the bridge per an approved demolition plan by the City’s engineering consultant, Associated Engineering Ltd., and Canadian National Railway (CN). Civil works of the roadway and sidewalk near the structure will occur following demolition and the site will be restored.
Residents are asked to remain a safe distance from the fencing during the project.
