Connor Johnson Awarded Snowbirds Scholarship

Moose Jaw, SK – Moose Jaw’s Connor Johnson has been awarded the 2020 Snowbirds Scholarship.
At the regular meeting of City Council Monday, September 21, Johnson was presented the annual scholarship by Mayor Tolmie on behalf of Council.
The Snowbirds Scholarship was created by City Council in 1991 and is awarded to a high school student from Moose Jaw who is also a member of Cadets and will pursue post-secondary studies.
Johnson graduated from Central Collegiate in 2020 with a 91.6% average and has been accepted at the University of Regina in the Environmental Systems Engineering program. Among Connor’s accomplishments:
- Member of Royal Canadian Air Cadets since 2013.
- Volunteer with CCRezQs dog rescue organization.
- Involved with multiple community and fundraising events.
