Community Grant and Capital Grant Program Applications Now Being Accepted

Moose Jaw, SK – The City of Moose Jaw is now accepting Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grant Program and Community Projects – Capital Grant Program applications.

The Saskatchewan Lotteries Community Grant Program assists in the development of sport, culture and recreation programs by providing funds to non-profit community organizations that are operated by volunteers. The City of Moose Jaw administers the grants on behalf of Saskatchewan Lotteries.

The goal of the program is to get people involved in sport, culture and recreation activities, especially those activities which encourage participation of under-represented populations in our community, such as:

o          Children and teenagers, especially at risk-youth;

o          Economically disadvantaged;

o          Inactive seniors;

o          Persons with a disability;

o          Single parent families; and

o          Women

Deadline for The Saskatchewan Lotteries Grant program submissions is November 30th, 2020 for the period of April 1st, 2021 – March 31, 2022.  Applications can be found online at www.moosejaw.ca/grants or by emailing recreation@moosejaw.ca

The purpose of the Community Projects – Capital Grant Program is to enable community groups to undertake capital development or renovation projects to City owned parks or facilities providing recreation, sport, arts, or cultural opportunities to the community.

The Deadline for Community Projects-Capital Grant Program applications is January 31, 2021. Applications can be found online at www.moosejaw.ca/grants or by emailing recreation@moosejaw.ca.
