MOOSE JAW – The City of Moose Jaw thanks everyone who volunteered their time during Community Clean Up Week, May 9-15.

Residents, schools, businesses and other community groups took some time to collect garbage in their respective neighbourhoods, culminating in the #CleanUpMJ event on May 15. Approximately 90 volunteers showed up and filled over 120 bags of garbage from high-traffic and high usage areas of Moose Jaw.

“We’re thrilled, but not surprised at the high level of participation from Moose Javians who took time to clean up our city,” said Mayor Clive Tolley. “On behalf of our City Council, thank you to the City’s Community Clean Up committee, the Moose Jaw Co-op, Burns & McDonnell, Co-op Ethanol Complex, Moose Jaw Bobcat and everyone else who played a role in helping make Moose Jaw #NotoriouslyClean. Let’s remember to not litter and keep our city beautiful.”
