Moose Jaw, SK – The City of Moose Jaw advises that major upgrades to the CN train tracks on Main St. North near Town & Country Drive have been scheduled.

Crews will mobilize in the area for pre-assessment and site preparation, resulting in temporary lane restrictions, between July 2 – July 4.

Beginning Sunday, July 5, traffic will be blocked in both directions between Town ‘N Country Drive and Thatcher Drive while repairs are made. The project will also address drainage issues and includes paving of the Main St. North northbound lanes in the immediate construction area.

The project is expected to last up to 10 days, weather permitting.

The Town ‘N Country Drive intersection will be open to northbound Main St. traffic during construction and drivers can utilize it to access Canadian Tire, Town ‘N Country Mall and Civic Centre Plaza. Drivers will need to use 9th Avenue NW or NE for up to 10 days as your detour to get downtown heading south, or Thatcher Drive heading north.  Drivers are encouraged to use Caribou St. as a 9th NW and NE connector where possible.

The City of Moose Jaw apologizes for the inconvenience, but is absolutely necessary to provide the time to complete the major upgrades to correct a long-time problem area.

We thank drivers for their patience and ask that you obey signage and exercise caution in construction zones for the safety of everyone.
