MOOSE JAW – The City of Moose Jaw was pleased to assist Mr. Ray Rawlyk, organizer of the Ukraine Rally Fundraiser held Sunday, April 10, 2022 in Crescent Park, with his fundraising efforts for the Canadian Red Cross – Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal. The City accepted all startup donations and made required payments so that he could focus on the logistics of organizing the very successful fundraising event.

The City held those funds in trust and, once the event’s expenses were paid, the City was able to present a cheque in the amount of $2,360.78, which will be added to the $10,700.00 that was raised at the April 10 event. The cheque was presented to Mr. Rawylk on Tuesday, June 21, 2022.

Combined with the $5,390.00 raised at the City of Moose Jaw’s Ukraine fundraising dinner held March 31 at Mosaic Place, over $18,500.00 has been generated from Moose Jaw and area residents for the Canadian Red Cross – Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal.

Mayor Clive Tolley (L) and City Manager Jim Puffalt (R) present the cheque to organizer Ray Rawlyk.
