City Releases Budget and Resident Satisfaction Survey Results

MOOSE JAW – The City of Moose Jaw has released results of the 2024 Budget and Resident Satisfaction survey.

The survey was active between September 23-October 9, 2023, and asked residents a series of questions about their 2024 Budget priorities, in addition to questions gauging their satisfaction with City programs and services.

465 responses were received, representing all age demographics 18 and older. The 65+ age group provided the largest share of responses (24.68%), followed by the 35-44 age range (23.16%).

Among the results:

– A high appreciation was shown for Parks & Pathways, Parks & Recreation facilities and programs, in addition to water/wastewater and waste/recycling collection services.

– Respondents prioritized wanting Moose Jaw to be a safe, family-oriented and affordable community.

– Residents expressed high satisfaction with Parks & Recreation programming and facilities, while expressing dissatisfaction with City roadways.

“We thank everyone who took time to complete our survey,” said Maryse Carmichael, City Manager. “This input is valuable and will help us prioritize future programs and services from the City of Moose Jaw.”
