MOOSE JAW, SK- The City of Moose Jaw is asking residents to participate in a new survey that will help understand the needs and wants of the community for a new playground being replaced at 15th Avenue Northwest and Athabasca St W.

This playground replacement process is included in the City’s Playground Renewal Program and funding to upgrade the park was approved in the City’s 2023 Capital Budget. The original play structure was installed in 1990 and was given a life expectancy of 25 years.

The project aims to replace the playground with an inclusive play structure of similar size as well as complete upgrades to the current fencing along the perimeter, the bench and picnic table. There will also be considerations made to introduce components for children under 5 years old.

Click here to complete the survey. The survey link will remain open until March 22nd.

Residents in the area of the playground will receive information and a QR Code to take the survey by mail as well. For inquiries residents can call the Parks and Recreation Department at 306-694-4447 or email recreation@moosejaw.ca.
