MOOSE JAW – The City of Moose Jaw has received additional support from Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart Relief Fund.

In September 2020, Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities announced an $8 million sport relief fund to offset challenges presented by COVID-19, so that sport and recreation organizations and facilities could continue to deliver programming.

In December 2020, the City of Moose Jaw was given $10,000.00 from the Jumpstart Relief Fund, and earlier this month (June 2021), Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities allocated an additional $11,450.00 to the City.

“We understand the role sport and recreation plays in the health and well-being of kids and their families and are very grateful for Jumpstart’s support  in helping community recreation activities  continue,” said Shelly Howe, Recreation Services Supervisor for the City of Moose Jaw.

“The Jumpstart funding will be utilized for additional cleaning supplies, staff training and for additional programming equipment required for the reopening of the Outdoor Pool.”
