City Preparing Ice Plants For Seasonal Shutdown

Moose Jaw, SK – The annual shutdown of ice plants in City facilities is approaching.

Ice will be removed from Mosaic Place effective March 1, 2021 while the Kinsmen Sportsplex arena will remain open through March 31, 2021.

“We will continue to accommodate rentals and offer public skating at the Kinsmen Sportsplex under the current Public Health guidelines until March 31,” said Derek Blais, Director of Parks and Recreation. “We thank all user groups and residents for their patience and understanding as we dealt with the operational challenges presented by COVID-19. We thank Mosaic Place for working together to match the hours of service to the needs of our user groups.”

“We thank all ice users at Mosaic Place this past season,” said Ryan MacIvor, District General Manager for Spectra Venue Management at Mosaic Place. “We appreciate their help, support and understanding during COVID-19.  The Team at Mosaic Place was thrilled to see the happy faces of the skaters throughout the season and we look forward to next season.”
