Moose Jaw, SK –The City of Moose Jaw is proud to announce a fundraising supper at Mosaic Place to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.

In conjunction with Spectra Venue Management, the event will be held Thursday, March 31. All net proceeds will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal.

“The brutal invasion of Ukraine by Russia is a heartbreaking reminder of the atrocities many in the world are faced with,” said Clive Tolley, Mayor. “With this event we’re hoping to provide critical support to those affected by this conflict. Moose Jaw stands ready to welcome any Ukrainians seeking refuge from this tragic, unnecessary war.”

The fundraising event is March 31st at 5:30 p.m. at Mosaic Place, with a second sitting possible based on demand.

The menu will feature:

Borscht, cabbage rolls, perogies, Ukrainian Co-op sausage, honey babka, coffee and tea, with additional beverages available for purchase. Tickets are $25.00 each and available at the SaskTix Box Office at Mosaic Place or online at SaskTix. You can also use the SaskTix button on the free City of Moose Jaw app.

All funds raised will enable the Red Cross and Red Crescent movement to respond to humanitarian needs generated by the current war and almost eight years of conflict in Ukraine. The support could include preparedness, immediate and ongoing relief efforts, long-term recovery, resiliency, and other critical humanitarian activities as needs arise, both in Ukraine and surrounding countries, including supporting displaced populations.

The City of Moose Jaw is also pleased to announce that the City Hall clock tower lights have been changed to blue and yellow in support of Ukraine.
